Cinnamon Rolls? I have been to Florida a few times and one of the things I hace fallen in love with is Cinnamon Rolls, I get them every time I go to the Florida Mall. How best to make homemade cinnamon rolls? I found a recipe online for 'quick' (about 2 hours) homemade cinnamon rolls, and they were actually pretty good, but they weren't 'gooey' enough, per my husband. If I were to put a mixture of brown sugar/cinnamon/sugar and butter in the bottom of the pan first, then bake them, would that work or would that ruin them? The lunch room ladies at my school used to make really good cinnamon rolls from scratch, anyone have a recipe? How can I stop my cinnamon rolls from falling after I take them out of the oven? Everytime I make cinnamon rolls, they look wonderful till I take them out of the oven. Then when I take them out of the oven they fall. They still taste great and still look ok but not as good as they did before I took them out. Any suggestions???

How do you think my cinnamon rolls will turn out? I decided to try a new recipe for cinnamon rolls this morning, without first realizing that I was running low on flour. The recipe called for two packets of yeast, but I accidentally only used one. I did use self-rising flour, though. The recipe called for 8 cups of flour, and I only had 5 to spare. It called for two cups of milk, so I only used half of that. It also called for two eggs, a package of instant pudding, 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. sugar, and 1/2 c. oil. The dough turned out a little wet and sticky. I didn't deem it useless, though. I'm going to go through with it and see how the finished product turns out. How do you think the cinnamon rolls will be effected? Do you think I should use less or very little butter when putting my filling on top? The dough is rising now. What do you think?

What was wrong with my cinnamon rolls? I made some cinnamon rolls for church. The first rise went very well but the second rise pooped out. Could it of been the yeast? It wasn't old. Although the rolls didn't rise much, when I baked them they were passable. I have a inkling what might of happened - the recipe called for milk sugar and stick margarine to be warmed up. The recipe said that it was warm enough when there are still bits of unmelted margarine. I had gotten my margarine straight out of the freezer, it took longer for the frozen margarine to melt, in the end the milk mixture got too hot. Your answers helped me to zero in on what the problem could of been. Thanks.

Cinnamon Rolls: Can I substitute margarine for shortening in the dough? I was going to bake cinn rolls today, but as always I find my shortening isn't very fresh. I don't use shortening very often, so then if I go to use it for baking it is usually old. I want it to be fresh, as it will make the dough and rolls end up tasting weird. Cinnamon rolls fall flat? Every time I make homemade cinnamon rolls, they fall flat. The kind I make is with pie dough that you roll out into a big circle spread butter over the dough then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar roll into a log bake and cut. I do not understand why they are going flat, I use the same recipe that my mom did and hers never turned out this way.

Pillsbury cinnamon rolls question !? When you unopen the package, do you have to let the dough sit at a warm place before bake ? If you do, usually how long would it take for the dough to rise ? Then I think she rolled it in melted butter, then cinnamon/sugar. I want to know how long you let the rolls rise, the temp. to bake them,and how long to bake. Mine are so hard and crunchy on top. It is made with a regular sweet yeast dough. Then pieces of dough are pinched off after the first rising. They are rolled one by one into a long strip. Each individual piece is dipped in melted butter, then a cinnamon sugar mixter. This rope is then "tied" into a knot!!! They are put in a pan and left to rise until doubled and then baked. Mine are just not as good as my mother's and I wondered if anyone else knew about them. Maybe it is the baking time, the pan, or??? I do not need a recipe for the dough, just details on how you do the rolls.

Sister eating to many cinnamon rolls???!!? My sister eats the same thing for breakfest. She has 3 eggs and like 3 reduced fat Pilsberry cinnamon rolls.
